The current plan is to complete the first refinement phase by November 2014 based on constant feedback and communication with the industrial partners and have the newly integrated/ refined platform by February 2015 for further testing based on the project's already defined industrial use cases.
The use cases concern both the interactions between engineers and project managers during the design phases of a production line as well as the interactions between the engineers and shop floor operators during production execution.
]]>Additionally, the types and content of future data that will be provided for testing purposes were discussed. The data are based on needs that the automotive industry currently faces and involve communication and engineering issues.
]]>The participants had a chance to use Augmented Reality technologies for assembly tasks guidance and additional functionalities regarding feedback from the shop floor to the engineering offices.
Important feedback was received regarding the exploitation of the developments by the industry and what needs to be enhanced in the next version of the developments.
